Bei 1-abc.net handelt es sich um eine 2005 gegründete, junge Firma, die aus hoch motivierten und erfahrenen Programmierern, Marketing-Experten, Vertrieblern, Grafikern, Übersetzern und Produkt-Managern besteht. Die Zentrale ist in Deutschland, das Netzwerk aus Mitarbeitern und Freelancern erstreckt sich weltweit über sieben Länder.

Die Tätigkeitsfelder von 1-abc.net umfassen sowohl Softwareentwicklung und -vertrieb als auch die Betreuung verschiedenster IT-Projekte sowie IT Consulting. Nach den ersten fünf Jahren sind bereits 29 Sharewareprodukte erschienen. Immer mehr Verlage weltweit veröffentlichen 1-abc.net-Software unter eigenem Namen in Lizenz auch als Box-Produkte.
